Our Story
Propel Technology is a family-owned technology firm offering IT support and consulting services to the Greater Detroit and Greater Denver areas.
We opened our Denver office in June 2018 and our Detroit office in July 2019, and have enjoyed exponential growth in both markets. We provide outsourced IT support, IT consulting, and cybersecurity solutions services for businesses both local & nationwide. We specialize in small and medium businesses that range from 10 to 300 employees.
Propel technology was founded on a simple premise: Put people and relationships first. Unlike your typical IT provider, Propel is not here to nickle-and-dime you. Our main goals are to build long-lasting relationships and to help you grow your business through the use of technology. We'll never upsell you to make an extra buck, try to sell you on a solution you don't need, or charge you exorbitant hourly rates. In fact, the average Propel customer is able to cut IT costs by 40% when utilizing our services, all while boosting employee efficiency.

James Bishop
Partner
James has been “the computer guy” for his family, friends, and coworkers since he built his first PC at age 12. He’s been a professional IT consultant in the SMB space since 2013, working with dozens of organizations and industries. He specializes in developing creative, practical IT solutions for small and medium businesses. James is also a politics junkie, music enthusiast, and lover of the outdoors.
Stanley B. Dickson, Jr.
Partner
Stan is both a lawyer and a CPA. He owns and operates numerous businesses, including Happy Howie’s, Inc., Wizard Trading, Inc., Dickson & Associates, P.C., Trowbridge Law Firm, P.C., Michigan Finance, and Propel Technology.

Our new server went down abruptly, paralyzing our practice.
